The scenic town of Franklin, nestled in the mountains of Western North Carolina, is home to the Church of St. Stephen the First Martyr.
Saint Stephen’s, a mission under the sponsorship of the Anglican Church in America, is dedicated to the worship and service of God, and to the spiritual growth and nourishment of His people.
Saint Stephen's has a simple agenda: to worship God, to preach the gospel, and to disciple believers.
We are a local church that has not forgotten where we came from. The roots of the faith we hold and proclaim stretch over 2000 years of history to the time of Jesus Christ.
Our worship reflects the majesty and beauty of the God to whom we joyfully offer it. Our teachings are firmly grounded in the Word of God as it has been received in unbroken succession by generations of forgiven sinners.
We invite you to come and be part of this “Great Belonging” which is the mystical Body of Christ.
We meet at 1787 Georgia Highway (US 441/23) Franklin, North Carolina.
As you leave Franklin heading toward Atlanta, we are on your right just past Jan’s Produce. Our suite is next to the Spirit Gun Shop.
Sunday worship begins with Morning Prayer at 9:00 a.m. Informal Christian education follows at 9:30. “The Main Event” – the service of Holy Communion, also called the Mass - is offered 10:30 a.m.
